2010-05-26, Sannois, France. Eugene Rwamucyo was arrested on a 2006 warrant issued by Rwanda for allegedly committing crimes at the Butare Prefecture. He is accused of killing patients at the Butare university hospital and of participating in planning of the genocide. Dr. Rwamucyo used to work at a hospital in Maubeuge, France, and live in Belgium with his family. About a month ago, he was suspended from his job after the hospital’s administration found out about the Interpol warrant against him. He was detained at the funeral of another Rwandan at Sannois, near Paris.
