USA: Former Somali Chief of Security Files Reply to the Torture Lawsuit
2010-06-11, Columbus, Ohio, United States. Abdi Aden Magan, former Chief of the Somali Security Service filed a response to the complaint that alleged that he is responsible for torture. According to the news reports, it appears that the defendant pleaded the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act on the basis that he acted in official capacity, limitations act, and that Somaliland or Kenya were preferred jurisdictions for the lawsuit.
