Spain: Garzon Appeals the Indictment
2010-04-10, Madrid, Spain. Judge Garzon appealed the Indictment issued against him, arguing that it is “contrary to law[, and that it] implies a serious challenge to judicial independence” and is based on “ideological motivations [by] certain organizations and marginal groups”. The action was initiated by the right-wing groups Falange and Manos Limpias.
