Netherlands: Dutch Court Sentences Pirates to 5 Year Imprisonment
2010-06-07, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Judge Jan Willem Klein Wolterink, of the Rotterdam District Court, sentenced 5 Somali pirates to 5 years in prison. They were found guilty of attempting to hijack ”Samanyulo”, a Dutch-Antilles-flagged cargo ship, in the Gulf of Aden in January 2009.
